Ok here is something in internet marketing that is very rarely talked about. It is pushed to the background but it is probably just as important as anything else you will do in marketing. What I am talking about is tracking. What I mean by tracking is you need to keep track of how many hits your website is receiving, where those hits are coming from and what ads are getting people’s attention. This is important because you need to know what ads are working and what ads are not. You also might want to know what services are sending traffic to your site and which ones are not. This may not be that important if you are using free services but becomes extremely important with paid services so that you do not waste your money on services that do not work for you.
You must also think about your email that you are sending out. Wouldn’t you like to know how many people actually read your email or opened it at least. The reason you would want to know this is so that you know which email services are working for you so you are not wasting your money on non-responsive lists.

Whether or not you like to call people on the phone, today’s marketing is all about relationships. It is no longer about the product you sell or what you can provide. Todays blog post will be about sponsors. This is a subject that hits close to home for me because I have tried many MLM and homebased business opportunities and have had many sponsors. I hope that I can provide some insite to the new people out there on what to look for in a sponsor and also some insite to those people out there that are sponsoring others into MLM and homebased businesses. By no means am I bashing anyone or any business but the MLM homebased business is about helping others to succeed and in turn this is why you will succeed so being a sponsor or an upline is so important in this business.
The homebased business and MLM market is growing exponentially with people out of work and the economy falling everyday. It is a great business to be in because it provides people with a stable income and the free time to spend with their families. By no means is a true work at home business a get rich quick scheme and it does take work to build a nice income. More work than what most new people to the business realize. The new people are also overloaded with tools that they do not know how to use. This is where the sponsor is the key to helping their downline succeed.
Sponsors or uplines have the toughest job. Once someone becomes a sponsor or an upline becomes a sponsor or an upline they become responsible for the person in their downline success. The sponsor must keep in contact and motivate the people in their downline. This is vital to helping others succeed. The sad part about this is that the upline normally forgets this and once they have signed someone up they believe their job is over. I, myself have personally experienced this in two businesses. Now I am not going to name these businesses or my sponsors. That would be unethical and would not be proper. We will just say that once I signed up they disappeared. This has lead me to believe that most sponsors do not realize their role in MLM or home based business. The role of a work at home sponsor or MLM sponsor is to provide support to, build a relationship with, and navigate their downline through the different aspects of the business. They are there to answer questions and train their downline in the successful operation of the business. As a sponsor you are responsible for your downline's success, PERIOD!!!
I have just recently seen a post to a support page for my recent endevour were a person who has just got started was asking if there is a way to switch sponsors because his had deserted him. I know that with most home based businesses or MLM businesses you are stuck with your upline unless you quit the business and then after a period of time join again under someone else. A person who is new to this market should not have to experience this type of abandonment because MLM and home based businesses really like to brag that "you are in business for yourself but not by yourself". This slogan has just become a pitch for most companies that operate as an MLM or a home based business. These words have truly lost their meaning.
Now I did mention above about my recent endevour. Let me tell you something about that as it pertains to our discussion here. The person that asked to be moved under someone else got his wish. He was moved and the company found him an active partner to work with and to teach him. But not only that in the support area there are many high level members and active marketing professionals that will help you along the way and will not care who is your sponsor or who is your upline. They help because home base business and MLM are people businesses and it should be people helping people. Now here is the part that amazes me, the president of the company is even in the support area everyday helping all subscribers. You can talk to him personally. Since when do you see that in this market. There is also a world class training center for all marketing knowledge and some of the best marketers in the world are the teachers of the courses provided there. Now that is amazing to have all this knowledge on marketing in one place and help in one place and even the president of the company available whey you need to talk to him.
